Dr. Brennan earned her DVM from Tufts University in 2006. She’s wanted to be a vet since she was eight years old, and she’s never veered from that path! Working with animals has always been in her passion. She also loves interacting with people and working in the science field. In her role, she enjoys getting to know families and building a trusting relationship to help their pet through both happy and difficult times.

Dr. Brennan and her partner, Ashley, have two pets, a Chihuahua mix named Lupita and a Beagle/Bulldog mix named Brutus. She also has two girls, Ashlyn and Shayla, and one boy named Cannon. I absolutely love forming a bond with you and your pet, and getting to know both of you so that I can help your family to the best of my ability. I've been treating pets of many species for 15 years, and just love getting to know each and every new animal and owner!

dr emaily geraghty

Dr. Emily Geraghty ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN - Acupuncture and Chiropractic

Dr. Geraghty practices twice a month here at Cornerstone helping our clients with their Acupuncture and Chiropractic needs. She is certified in veterinary acupuncture by the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese  Veterinary Medicine and certified in animal chiropractic by Options for Animals Schools of Animal Chiropractic and by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. Dr. Geraughty graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015 with her DVM and she completed her clinical year at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is currently training to become Fear Free Certified.

Growing up, Dr. Geraghty only ever wanted to be a veterinarian. In high school, when her own horse (who is now 28!) needed an abscess drained and penicillin shots daily, the experience cemented her decision. When she graduated vet school, she took a position as a mixed animal practitioner and loved working with the farm animals. She transitioned to small animal exclusively through working as a relief vet for better quality of life. Dr. Geraghty is excited to settle in an area with many pets to help and provide excellent quality medicine, both traditional and alternative. The most rewarding part of her job is helping clients understand the options for their furry family members. She also loves watching the positive transformations of geriatric patients from their alternative therapies, medication, or support products like paw traction granules.

Dr. Geraghty is married to her husband, Sean, and they have one daughter, Lilly. The family also has a few animals including two dogs, Piper, a ‘coconut retriever’ from Ross, and Trooper, a Red Tick/Aussie mix, a cat, many chickens, a handful of Hereford cows, two horses, and three donkeys.

To quote James Herriot, “I hope to make people realize how totally helpless animals are, how dependent on us, trusting as a child that we will be kind and take care of their needs.”

Dr Karn

Dr. Kayla Karn ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN

Dr. Karn graduated with her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She has always loved being around animals. Ever since she was little, Dr. Karn knew that she wanted to work with animals in some way when she grew up. In high school, she started working with the local veterinarian and loved it. For Dr. Karn, that sealed the deal on her becoming a veterinarian. Her favorite aspects of working at Cornerstone are the friendly, hard-working people she gets to work with every day, and always learning new things and finding new ways to help the animals we love.

At home, Dr. Karn shares her time with Winnie, a black Lab mix. When she’s not working, she enjoys cooking, hiking, knitting, kayaking, and being with her family. One of her most memorable experiences was getting to travel to Honduras as an undergrad. While there, she got to go snorkeling and see an amazing variety of fish and other sea creatures.

"I'm excited to be a part of the Cornerstone team, and I can't wait to meet you! I will work with you to keep your pets happy and healthy throughout their lives.''

Dr. Patricia Monast ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN

Dr. Monast earned her DVM from Cornell University in 2004. She has a very classic story of wanting to be a vet since childhood. When she was in the second grade, her dog died and she decided then and there that she wanted to be able to help pets. In her daily job, she finds that it is very rewarding to be a bridge between owners and their pets by helping owners understand what is going on with their furry family so they can make the best decisions for their health.

Dr. Monast and her husband have two children and two cats named Joy and Kevin. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, crossword puzzles, watching hockey, and baking. She also really loves chocolate!

From adoption to throughout your pet's life, I'll be there for you and your pet.

Dr Diana P

Dr. Diana Pogorzelski ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN

Dr. Diana earned her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. She has a special interest in exotics. Dr. Diana always liked figuring out how the world around us works. She has had experiences in multiple scientific fields. In fact, she started out as a communications technician in the Marines where she worked on various electrical equipment. During that time, she also earned her degree in psychology. After she finished her military career, she decided to combine two things that she’s always loved: science and animals, so she went into veterinary medicine! In her current role, she loves helping animals and their people.

Dr. Diana has a cat at home named Dylan, whom she rescued from the Caribbean. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, skiing, and scuba diving. One of her favorite books is The Lions of al-Rassan by Guy Gavriel Kay.

At Cornerstone, we're family and we'd love to welcome you to that family.

Dr. Robeson

Dr. Jennifer Robeson ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN

Dr. Robeson is originally from Hicksville, NY. She graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 2000 with a BS in biochemistry and a minor in environmental studies. She attended veterinary school at Tufts University (where she received the Irma Barton Humanitarian Award) and graduated with her DVM in 2006. She practiced small animal medicine on Long Island for 12 years before moving upstate to the foothills of the Adirondacks. Dr. Robeson always wanted to be a veterinarian; she was accepted into a prestigious PhD program but applied to vet school instead, because she knew she didn’t want to do anything else for the rest of her life.

Dr. Robeson’s favorite part of working in veterinary medicine is building relationships with clients that often span many years (and many pets). She also loves that it is never boring--after 15 years in the field, she still sees things she’s never seen before. And she never gets tired of puppy kisses! Dr. Robeson and her husband Trevor have 2 wonderful children, Eric and Talia; 2 dogs, Miles (Beagle mix) and Tootsie (Dachshund mix); and a cat named Butters. In her spare time, Dr. Robeson loves to run, cook, read, hike, travel, and spend time with her family.

“I work to protect the bond between animals and their people, and strive to treat every pet as if they were my own because I know there is a family out there to which they mean the world!”

dr lisa knott bio

Dr. Lisa Knott OWNER, MEDICAL DIRECTOR, VETERINARIAN

Dr. Lisa Knott earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University in 2006. Growing up, she always loved science, nature, and animals, as well as problem-solving and “fixing things.” It was a natural progression to choose a career that included everything she loved! In her roles at the hospital, she truly loves being there for people during both the good and the not-so-good parts of being a pet parent. It’s an emotional roller coaster, but at the end of the day, it’s rewarding to know she’s made a difference in someone’s life.

Dr. Knott is married to her husband, Dr. Alan Knott, and together they have two children, Lillian and Andrew, as well as two pets, Holly, a long-haired Chihuahua, and Brutus, a Chihuahua mix. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, jogging, and gardening. She is especially proud of raising two confident, compassionate, and loving little people! In addition, she loves summer, the beach, and being warm (pretty much anything not involving winter in upstate New York!).

I've been helping pets for 14 years and can't wait to help you and your family!
