Dr. Susan Verra Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Verra earned her DVM from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. Her love for the veterinary field developed when she was a child helping her traveling veterinary specialist father and raising dogs throughout her life. She likes to advise her clients about the importance of preventative medicine and routine vet visits, which are the best way to give pets the longer life they deserve. Dr. Verra also wants pet parents to know that the health and wellbeing of animals directly correlates to the health and wellbeing of humans. Happy, healthy pets = happy, healthy humans!

Dr. Verra is gratified to be able to support the human-animal bond through every challenge, such as chronic illness and geriatric care. She loves having pet owners tell her “He’s back to his old self!” or “She seems much more comfortable.” Dr. Verra truly enjoys making the transition into the senior years easier for pets and their owners.

Dr. Verra has two delightful pets; a Boxer mix named Arthur who loves giving kisses, and Kanga, a Siamese mix, lover of sinks and attention. Kanga is also the reason Dr. Verra became a “cat person,” having accompanied her throughout her vet school journey. In her free time, Dr. Verra loves anything outdoorsy—hiking, downhill skiing, kayaking, camping, biking…you name it! She also enjoys exploring local businesses.
