Dr. Susan Verra Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Susan Verra takes a thoughtful, well-rounded approach to veterinary care and enjoys working with pets at every stage of life. She has a special interest in senior pet care and focuses on helping families navigate changes over time, with an emphasis on keeping pets comfortable and maintaining their quality of life.
She grew up in Queensbury, New York, and earned her degree in Biology from Clarkson University. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Verra is Fear Free Certified and has professional interests in dentistry, dermatology, and internal medicine. She enjoys the variety that comes with general practice and values building long-term relationships with her patients and their families.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Verra enjoys hiking, downhill skiing, yoga, reading, and exploring local coffee shops. She also creates stained glass pieces, combining creativity with attention to detail. At home, she has a Siamese mix cat named Kanga, who can often be found relaxing in the sink, and a boxer mix named Arthur, who loves his ball and going on hikes.
Dr. Verra is known for her steady, thoughtful presence and her ability to guide families through decisions over time. She takes the time to listen, answer questions, and help you feel supported as your pet’s needs change.
