Dr. Monast earned her DVM from Cornell University in 2004. She has a very classic story of wanting to be a vet since childhood. When she was in the second grade, her dog died and she decided then and there that she wanted to be able to help pets. In her daily job, she finds that it is very rewarding to be a bridge between owners and their pets by helping owners understand what is going on with their furry family so they can make the best decisions for their health.

Dr. Monast and her husband have two children and two cats named Joy and Kevin. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, crossword puzzles, watching hockey, and baking. She also really loves chocolate!
