Dr. Mikaela Harris takes a thoughtful, measured approach to veterinary care and focuses on fully understanding each patient before making decisions. She takes her time with each case, working through details carefully to provide care that is well-considered and thorough.

She grew up in Cobleskill, New York, and earned her degree in Biology, with minors in Chemistry and Business, from SUNY Oswego. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Harris is Fear Free Certified and has professional interests in internal medicine, dermatology, and anesthesia. She enjoys working through medical cases and takes a steady, careful approach to patient care, especially in situations that require close monitoring and thoughtful decision-making.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Harris spends much of her time riding and showing horses on the AQHA circuit. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with her animals, including her horse, Roanie, and her three cats.

Dr. Harris is known for her calm, steady presence and her thoughtful approach to care. She listens closely, takes her time, and makes sure each decision is made with care so you can feel comfortable and confident in your pet’s treatment.
