Dr. Michelle Kelley ASSOCIATE VETERINARIAN, CERTIFIED VETERINARY ACUPUNCTURIST
Dr. Kelley earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University in 2020. Following graduation, she completed a one-year Small Animal Medicine and Surgery internship, followed by a one-year Zoological Medicine Specialty Internship at South Shore Animal Hospital. Dr. Kelley’s professional focus is on treating domestic exotic pets. She enjoys helping pet owners address the unique husbandry requirements of exotic species by providing wellness and sick appointments for birds, reptiles, and exotic companion mammals. Dr. Kelley also holds certification in acupuncture from CuraCore Medical Acupuncture, with a focus on exotic species.
As a student, Dr. Kelley’s love of wild animals offered her opportunities to travel, study, volunteer and intern at Mystic Aquarium, New England Aquarium, Roger Williams Park Zoo, Busch Gardens Florida, Umkhondo Big5 Wildlife Reserve in South Africa, and Sichuan Agricultural University College of Veterinary Medicine China. These experiences helped shape her focus on exotic pet medicine.
Outside of work Dr. Kelley enjoys spending time with family & friends in the Adirondacks, collecting and caring for plants, reading, crocheting, and wildlife photography. She has been a pet mom to a rabbit, several hamsters & gerbils, a hedgehog and many fish.
